Double trouble

When our son was 10 months old we returned to RPMG July of 2014 to try for a sibling for him. After 5 rounds of FET, 2 additional cycles of IVF, 2 rounds of hysteroscopy, 1 mock FET cycle, and finally 1 fresh round of 2 embryos transfer on 10/27/15 I'm now 18 weeks pregnant with twins. I can't say t...

Pineapple and implantation

Dear doctor,

I keep hearing/reading about how pineapple can help with implantation after an embryo transfer. Is it true? Is it proven? Or is it just an old wives tale? Will it help or harm?

Thank you.

Failed 2nd FET

Dear doctors, We recently failed our 2nd FET of a normal PGD tested 5BB embryo. I was stunned when informed of the bad news. How could this be? What might have caused this cycle to fail? I have so many questions running in my head. 1. Was the quality of this embryo not good enough? 2. If this one fa...

Re: First FET Success at 37

Our first miracle resulted in a beautiful baby boy who is now 10 months old. Today I've returned to RPMG for our second trial of FET. I'm sadden at the fact that Dr. Meldrum has retired however, I'm certain that I'll be in good hands. Hoping and praying for our miracle baby #2!

Re: First FET Success at 37

Thank you doctor Wisot for your well wishes. My pregnancy has been such a breeze up to now without a hint of morning sickness, tiredness, or anything out of the ordinary besides a few mild normal cramps. I'm hoping it will continue until the end so that I may enjoy life most wonderful gift. To Dr. M...

First FET Success at 37

My husband and I started going to RPMG in Redondo Beach, CA September of 2010 after 2 years of unsuccessful trying to conceive on our own. We went through 5 IUI cycles up through the end of 2011 (2 without drugs, 2 with Clomid, and 1 with Clomid + Trigger shot). At the end of the 5th cycle I lost al...

Re: FOOD and IVF

Hi doctor,

How do you feel about pregnant women cosuming shellfish? Should they be avoided?

I was told I'm 5 weeks pregnant, does this mean I'm starting week #5 or I just ended week 5 going on 6th?

Thank you doctor.

FOOD and IVF

Hi doctor, 1. Is there any food (i.e. hot pepper) I should avoid during an IVF cycle? 2. I was told to take Ortho-Cept for 3 weeks by the nurse and to extend for an additional week beyond the current regimen by the doctor since we're taking Doxycycline (started on 9/11) for 10 days because there wer...
