Re: IVF and Migraines?

I would guess that being that far removed from the IVF cycle that the cycle had nothing to do with the migraines. I have not heard of this problem from my patients.

I hope it clears up quickly.

Re: progesterone induction

There is very little risk in taking the progesterone. It will not tell you if you are menopausal but it can prevent the build-up of the endometrium (hyperplasia) from unopposed estrogen so it might be a good idea if you are not cycling yourself. A repeat FSH along with an estradiol level might be he...

Re: Thin Lining

I am sorry you are experiencing these very frustrating problems; thin lining and unexplained miscarriage of a normal embryo. In my experience the only important measurement is the one before you start progesterone. After that almost anything can happen and it has not been predictive of the outcome t...

Re: ovulation!!!!

It depends on whether you detected the rise, peak or fall of the LH surge. With the number I would guess the peak. Ovulation occurs about 36 hours after the peak. Then the egg is viable for about 24 hours. The original insemination would have been better but if you detected the early surge it could ...

Re: Recurrent Misscarriages

The progesterone level once you are having a miscarriage is not very helpful. With the early spotting and miscarriages, the most helpful test would be an endometrial biopsy in the mid luteal phase to date the endometrium. That will show if you are having an appropriate progesterone effect for implan...

Re: Producing Eggs

I don't know what medication they used and how much they gave to try to get her to produce more than one egg so I don't know what else to offer. If you can let me know the details of how they tried to stimulate her, maybe I can offer a suggestion. If IVF is too expensive she can still try with her o...

Re: Ovary inaccessible

Bravo!

It sounds like a great result and I will predict you will have at least 2-3 normal embryos. At age 40, even with no normal previously, odds are you will have some this time. I'll bet on the odds.

Re: Sperm analysis results, need advice

Before you can fix it you need to have it evaluated to find out the reason, i.e. genetic, obstruction.

There is nothing you can do yourself; you must see a specialist in male fertility to make a diagnosis first.

Re: Sperm analysis results, need advice

It appears that there are just a handful of sperm present and this is a problem. You need a complete evaluation by an expert in male fertility to repeat it, find the reason and hopefully a fix. Let us know what the evaluation shows. Arthur L. Wisot, M. D. Reproductive Partners Medical Group Redondo ...

Re: High FSH

You did not misinterpret what I wrote. By way of explanation, the bleeding you saw was not in synch with your hormonal cycle. You interpreted it the only way you could; by seeing the menstrual flow. But I think it came a little late, not in synch with the hormones. That's my story and I'm sticking t...
