Re: Failed FET with PGS tested blastocyst

I think a repeat ERA is a good idea. The performance of the biopsy in itself is a "scratch." Latest studies do not show benefit from the so-called "endometrial scratch" but it does not hurt to do the biopsy ehich you need anyway. They also need to examine the pathology for chronic endometritis. With...

Re: Low hcg and recurrent miscarriage

The most common cause of miscarriage is a chromosomal abnormality in the embryo, so progesterone will not do any good except to prolong the process if that's the case. I hope your doctor has done a thorough workup for recurrent miscarriage. A timed endometrial biopsy could show if you have a progest...

Re: IVF -- any chance for me?

There is a chance for a successful pregnancy but with your age, history and low AMH it is a long shot. The one positive is your low FSH. A consultation with one of our doctors could put it in perspective for you. Arthur L. Wisot, M. D. Reproductive Partners Medical Group, Inc. Redondo Beach, Califor...

Re: Effect of the age of the father

The quality of sperm can decrease with age but a general answer will do you no good. A semen analysis on your partner would be much more helpful. In one's early 40's sperm issues from age usually would not be too profound. Each of your fertility is independent but your young age would be helpful no ...

Re: Possibility of conceiving naturally at 43..

A general answer on this will do you little good without more detailed information than your age. Some blood work and an ultrasound would give a wealth of information about your ovarian reserve and any issues in your pelvis that would be a problem which could give the doctor a real idea of what your...

Re: Ovulation pain

This is really not a topic for this board but what I can say is that the pattern of pain, if not typical, could indicate some issue in your pelvis. A vaginal ultrasound by your GYN might give you some answers.

Re: Fluid in uterus

I am getting a little confused between days of the cycle and dates. It must be a strange cycle if you started your period 5 days after ovulation if I have that right. But nevertheless if it has persisted so long it probably should be evaluated as I noted above. Arthur L. Wisot, M. D. Reproductive Pa...

Re: Fluid in uterus

On Day 3 it could be blood in the uterus. If there is any question after the period is over your doctor could do a saline sonohysterogram or hysteroscopy to make sure there are no polyps or other abnormalities in the uterus. Arthur L. Re: Eggs Frozen using Slow Freeze Method

I do not know anything about the study you mention. But in general, if the eggs survive the thaw and fertilize and develop into high quality embryos they have a chance of implanting and do not generally cause harm to the baby. Of course any baby can have issues no matter what the method of conceptio...

Re: Very low AMH and normal antral follicle count

The jury is still out on the question of whether birth control pills reduce AMH. Studies have attempted to determine the effect of hormonal birth control on AMH levels, but it’s still unclear. While several studies have concluded that use of birth control doesn’t suppress AMH, others have concluded ...
