Re: PGS with Donor Eggs failed
I'm so sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, using donor eggs is not always a guarantee of pregnancy. That being said, since the embryos were PGS tested, I would consider doing some further testing. When patients have multiple failed attempts, Some things to consider include doing some bloodwork to eva...

Re: CD 3 results
FSH, estradiol, and AMH are hormone levels that, combined an ultrasound for antral follicle count, can give you an idea of your ovarian reserve. In general, in vitro fertilization would not be warranted for these numbers alone. Without knowing more about you though, I can't give you specific advice ...

Re: RPL
Hello. These are difficult questions to answer without knowing more about your specific situation and test results. It's hard to know if the reason for the losses are a chromosome issue with the embryos or if it is the antiphospholipid antibodies, or something to do with Sjogren's Syndrome. MTHFR is...

Re: Progesterone supplementation after FET
Unfortunately, there is no "standard" amount of time to continue progesterone support following a frozen embryo transfer cycle. In general, the placenta normally take over progesterone production around 7-9 weeks gestational age. Since there can be some variation in the timing of this, man...

Re: Documneted Success Rates
Published IVF success rates can be very difficult to interpret for exactly the reasons you pointed out. The information requested by each website can vary and the way the information is reported by the IVF centers can vary. That's why you should always take that information with a "grain of sal...

Re: Stimulation start too early?
Stimulation for an in vitro fertilization cycle usually starts with your period, but there are cases when it can be started earlier. It really depends on the individual situation.

Re: Gender Question
The predominance of one gender in a family tree may have a male genetic component. It is thought that some men produce more sperm of one gender (X versus Y) than the other. In your case, your sperm donor may produce a larger percentage of sperm with the Y chromosome.

Re: Blastocyst quality vs Chromosome problems
Unfortunately, the embryo quality does not always correlate with whether or not the embryo is chromosomally normal. In general, female age is a better predictor of the chances of having a normal embryo. As women age, the percentage of normal embryos created from an IVF cycle declines.

Re: DHEA
Some studies have shown that giving DHEA to women, who have previously had a poor response in an IVF cycle, may increase the number of eggs and embryos made. Other studies, however, have disputed this. So, that being said, the decision to use DHEA should be made on an individual basis.

Re: Prolactin and breastfeeding
Hello. Breast feeding can cause a delay in the return of menstruation. If you are still breast feeding, your prolactin level will most likely be elevated. If you completely stop breast feeding and your periods don't return, that would be the time to start an evaluation. I would recommend that you sp...
