I recently went through my first IVF cycle, which unfortunatly did not result in any healthy embryos to transfer. While going through the stimulation process, and even after egg retrieval, I was fortunate enough to only experience one migraine. It has been 4 weeks since my egg retrieval, and all of a sudden I am experience a cluster of debilitating migraines. I have had 4 in the last 5 days. I plan on going back into the specialist to have blood work done, but curious if anyone else has had this happen that far out from egg retrieval, and if so, what reason you may have been given?

I would guess that being that far removed from the IVF cycle that the cycle had nothing to do with the migraines. I have not heard of this problem from my patients.

I hope it clears up quickly.

Thank you for your reply! I have been prepping to start a second cycle and one of the recommendations was to start taking DHEA. I started right away, and even though I was told DHEA shouldn’t effect migraines, I stopped anyway, and oddly enough, so did my migraines. There may or may not be a relation. I’m not bold enough yet to start taking it again.

Thanks again for the reply
