Yet another HCG/ ultrasound question

Hi Doctor!
You did a 3 day embryo transfer with me on the 5th, today , on the 16th, I had my beta, which was 137. Is this a good number? I ask beacuse I was asked to come back on friday to have it re-checked, which sort of killed any enthusiasm I had at being told I was pregnant. Also, how long after the postive beta is the ultrasound? I never really managed to get an answer from the nurse. Thanks. :0)

Hi:

Since it's 11 days from the 3-day transfer it's a very good number.

EVERYONE gets a second level two days later to see if it's rising appropriately. The ultrasound should be next week on Friday or close to that.

Thank you for answering my questions, today my beta came back at 241, so does this mean the pregnancy is unhealthy? I would just like blunt honesty at this point. In supposed to go back on Sunday for another hcg test, but I just want to know the likeyhood of the pregnancy continuing.

We expect a minimum of a 67% increase in 2 days and yours nearly doubled. So you are very much still in the ball game.
