Why didn't my first FET take??

Post by toni and laura »

Hi I am 27 years old and 3 weeks ago I did my first FET. Well it didn't take. We transfered the best embryo and implantation did not occur. I am 27! I shouldn't be going through this. Yet, here we are! The thing that upsets me the most is that my doctor was CONFIDENT that it would take. So now we go and try again. I had a Myomectomy to remove the fibroids in my uterus, which is what the doctors though I would need to get pregnant. Wrong again! This just sucks. So I know that there are women out there that understand my let down more than anyone. I just really wanted to vent. Thanks for listening

Hi:

Sorry to hear that it did not work.

Sometimes just when you think everything is perfect and it's a slam-dunk, it doesn't work and that's even more frustrating than when you have a reason like poor embryo quality. Sometimes we just don't know why it doesn't work when it seems it should.

The good news is that with good embryo quality at age 27 there should be a good chance that a future attempt will work for you.

Good luck.
