embryos stop dividing - 3 ivf so far

Post by oscarcarrasco »

Hi,
After lots of exams we found i' have antibodies attached to the sperm, the doctor indicated the natural fertilization is not possible because of that.

All the rest for me and my wife looks ok, we did a advance DNA analysis on my sperm and came back normal as well.

We have done 3 IVF cycles using micro injection as this seem to be the only way to get around the antibodies and each time is like the embryos start growing and then stop dividing. the ones we implanted didn't produce pregnancy and the ones left to be monitored just stooped dividing so where no suitable to be freeze.

Could you suggest (or if exist) any exam that could diagnose why the embryos stop growing? A different treatment?

Regards and thanks in advance
Oscar

Hi:

Developmental delay is usually caused by sperm or egg quality issues which your doctor can try to track down. Unfortunately it will take complete knowledge about your case to make any recommendation for test to try to find the problem.

Good luck.
