Hi- I am 41 years old and just beginning my first round of Mini IVF with R.P.
I've seen that some clinics use a nasal spray instead of an HCG shot for the trigger. Can you explain the difference and why one is better than the other? (I'm always looking for ways to avoid shots ).
Thanks!
Mini IVF - HCG Shot
Re: Mini IVF - HCG Shot
I can't tell you why others do things a different way. But hCG by injection has been the gold standard since IVF started. We use a GnRH agonist like Lupron by injections under certain conditions like when we are concerned about the possibility of hyperstimulation. But the agonists are not as reliable as hCG even as an injection.
