Hello Dr.,
My husband was diagnosed with bilateral varicoceles. In 2010 he tried surgery but the count remained ~ 1 million, with low motility. We tried an IUI, chemical pregnancy. In 2012, IVF#1: twins, at 5.5 weeks one empty sac, one with fetal pole, at 7.5 weeks no heartbeat, at 8 weeks confirmed no heartbeat, suction/curretage. in 2013 IVF#2: chemical pregnancy. Concluded sperm defect. In 2013 IVF#3 with donor sperm: chemical pregnancy. My doc is now looking at DQ-alpha testing. Any insight? Why the same outcome with husband and with donor sperm? Any other possible issues? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Renee
Fourth Pregnancy Loss
Re: Fourth Pregnancy Loss
Maybe it's not the sperm. It may be a chromosomal issue so I would be thinking of IVF with PGS to make sure that embryos transferred are chromosomally normal.
