Dr Wisot:
I have heard so many different recommendations when it comes to bed rest, anywhere from 1-3 days to it's a myth and not needed. Even read that the lack of blood flow and activity following a transfer can have a negative impact.
You are the expert, what do you recommend? And does it vary say for a 3 day transfer vs a 5 day blast transfer??
Any consequences if u don't lay down for a couple days following.
Very curious, as I always have in fact stayed own for 3 days after, then again I haven't gotten my BFP. Not saying that had anything to do with it.
Your input is appreciated

Bed rest after transfer
Re: Bed rest after transfer
We used to do three and years ago reduced to two and have not seen any lowering of success. It's the same for day 3 and 5 transfers.
The purpose of the bedest is to prevent the uterus from contracting and changing the position of the embryo(s) before that have stuck firmly to the endometrium.

Re: Bed rest after transfer
No. It's that implantation will start sooner after transfer because the embryos are two days further along. The Day 3 ones adhere to the surface of the endometrium similarly well.
