What is the optimal range of LH during the cycle?

Dear Dr Wisot

My LH on CD2 was 2.6 and now on CD7 it has gone up to 6.

I am only on FSH and so was worried this is now a high LH and could damage the eggs or reduce the chance of pregnancy. Day 7 of my last cycle (which was exactly the same protocol) my LH was 3.1, so I'm not sure why it is 6 on this cycle. But I'm afraid that it's going to compromise egg quality?

Is this high or normal? Does the 'normal range' change depending what time in the cycle?

Is it best to start the cetrotide/ganerelex now to bring it down or is it not an issue for a couple of more days when my protocol would normally start it (when lead follicle is 14mm). My lead follicle today was only 11mm.

Regards

I think it would be a good idea to stop micromanaging your cycles. The stress it creates is not good for the process.

Your levels sound normal and some LH is required for good egg quality and that's why some RE's actually prescribe Menopur instead of pure FSH.
