Menopur and worsened embryo quality

Hi,
I read that too much Menopur can cause bad embryo quality due to the LH component. I am planning to start IVF number 2 (first cycle resulted in poor embryo quality), but my RE wants to increase the Menopur dose and decrease the FSH med. Can you tell me the rationale?

Also, can you explain the difference between NGS and CGH PGS testing?

We consider 225u as a maximum for Menopur for most patients.

NGS and CGH provide the same information on different platforms and different technology. NGS is the newer technology but there is some difference in opinion about which is best but both are currently being used.

Hi,
What would be an advantage of using a higher dose of Menopur and lower dose of Follistim?

I don't know all the details of your prior cycle so I can't guess what your doctor is trying to accomplish.

This is a question you should ask your doctor.
