Good luck.

I have 5 5-day frozen embryos and want to get them tested. My son has myotonic muscular dystrophy and the chances of me passing it is 50% each pregnancy. Can my frozen embryos be tested? Do they need to be used once they are thawed for testing or can they be re-frozen? Does re-freezing make them less viable?

Hi:

I am clearing old posts and see that this one was never answered. My apologies.

In most cases frozen embryos can be thawed at the blastocyst stage or thawed and grown to blastocyst, biopsied and then re-frozen awaiting the results of the PGD.

Again my apologies for the delay in answering.
