Borderline motility

Post by mamuti »

Hello doctor.
I’ve got a result of two sperm analysis tests and would appreciate if you could tell me are these numbers good enough for natural conceiving.
1st test:
volume: 2ml
sperm concentration: 45mil / ml
motility: A+B 40% (A=8, B=30, C=2%, immotile 58%)
2nd test:
volume: 2ml
sperm concentration: 30mil / ml
motility: A+B 40% (A=12, B=28, C=0%, immotile 60%)
all other parameters are normal except no data on morphology.
I know without morphology data it is difficoult to give an opinion, but assuming the morphology is satisfactory, are these numbers sufficient for successful natural conceiving. I'm am a 6'1, 185 lbs, 25 years old, recreative athlete, living a healthy lifestyle.
Thank you very much

With this limited information it would be possible to conceive a pregnancy naturally. But to get an an idea of what the chances are, it would be really important to check the strict morphology.

I don't know why you are asking. If it's because you want to see if you need to use protection; you do. If you are trying to conceive you need to go further and check the strict morphology.
