blocked vas deference

my husband recently found out he has no sperm in his ejaculate. Dr suspects blocked vas deference but it has not been confirmed. I am a week late starting my cycle. my question is, could any sperm have made it through or am I just late for other reasons.

Since we don't know yet if your husband has a blocked vas deferens I could not speculate if you could be pregnant.

But if he does not ejaculate sperm and your doctor thinks it could be a blocked vas, he needs to have a thorough workup from a urologist who specializes in male fertility. Even if he does have a blocked vas there are treatments that can help you get pregnant with aspirated sperm (PESA) in IVF.

he had the full workup, all his numbers were good and he is producing sperm. our insurance covers no part of IVF so it's not an option. this was as far as we were able to go with insurance help.

If it's a congenital absence of the vas then the option is IVF with aspirated sperm. If it is another type of blockage then surgery might be an option which may be covered by insurance. Talk to your urologist.
