no period despite progesterone induction

Post by Emme1 »

I am in my mid-40s and my cycles have become more erratic in the last few years. Occasionally I have to induce my period with the progesterone tablets. However, the last induction was unsuccessful. My last bleeding (naturally occurring) was three months ago. I had my hormones checked, and the FSH came up at 78, and estradiol at 90.
What are your thoughts? Is the high level of FSH indicative of anything considering that it was not taken at CD 3? Is there a way to postpone the menopause if that is the case?
Thank you.

There is no way to postpone the menopause especially since those are already peri-menopausal or even menopausal levels.

Unfortunately there is no fix, especially for fertility issues. You need to discuss this situation with your doctor.
