Pregnant at 42
Pregnant at 42
Thanks to Dr. Huang and your amazing staff for helping me monitor my ovulation and conceive again quickly (within 4 months). After 2 chromosomal miscarriages in the past 12 months, we're now 11 weeks along and just received negative results on the cell free DNA testing. Does that mean I can relax now, or should I still be worried that about during our upcoming visit to the genetics counselor at week 13? I know these tests didn't exists when I had my daughter at 39, so I'm not sure if I can finally relax and enjoy this new pregnancy (it's another girl!). Thanks again for all of your help!
Re: Pregnant at 42
Wonderful news.
Those early fetal DNA tests are very accurate so the chance of finding something in the follow-up testing is very low.
But you can't really relax until the kid graduates from college and has a job.
