Hello :) I read recently that the rate that you will get pregnant naturally after TTC for three months drops. Is that the case? Or does a healthy couple have 20% chance actively trying every month up until 12 months TTC before intervention is considered. Thank you for your time. (under 35 years of age)

The usual recommendation for women under 35 is that they try to conceive for one year before seeking help. This would imply that the rate of conception should not significantly drop until after that year.

But you are obviously concerned after three months or you would not be visiting our forum.

If you have no issues that might affect your ability to conceive like irregular periods, pelvic pain, previous STD like chlamydia you should probably just continue to try to conceive. But I suggest that you check out our Fertility Education pages to make sure you are maximizing your chances every month by, for example, using an ovulation predictor kit to make sure your timing is good.

If after another three months you are not successful and you are already concerned you might want to have your doctor check out the basic fertility issues.

But hopefully before then you will be posting on our Success Stories section. 8-)
