Is this a bad or good result for Post Coital Test. Can someone please advise oe claifty. It would be greatly appreciated....

Amount: 2 ml (0.0-2.5)
Spin: 18 cm (0-20)
Fern: 0 (0-3)
Microscopic: Clear AND Cellular

RESULTS
Sperm/Hi Powered: 7
% Sperm Motile: 40
Motility Grade: 4

EXAMINERS NOTES
Adequate amount of clear, stretchy mucus aspirated. ~3 Sperm seen moving progressively and a few twitching sperm visualized PHPF FM done, 5k HCG administered IM.

The fact that there was no ferning may indicate that the timing was not ideal and thus that may be why the result is not ideal. 3 motile sperm is usually not considered to be a good test but it may be the timing.

Depending on your age and how long you have been trying, they could repeat the test or move on to treatment assuming that this may be an issue for you. IUI would generally be the next step.
