Semen collection on day of transfer

Hi,
My husband used the sterile condom technique for semen analysis, I was wondering would this also be possible on the morning of egg retrieval? Can we give the specimen early in the morning then we do my egg retrieval? Just wondering how this would work since we had a hard time doing it the traditional way.
