Five RPMG physicians were named “Super Doctors of LA-2017” in the January 2017 issue of Los Angeles Magazine. They were all cited in the category of Reproductive Endocrinology.
The Super Five include Gayane Ambartsumyan, M. D. (Redondo Beach), Andy Huang, M. D. (Redondo Beach and Beverly Hills/Los Angeles), Gregory Rosen, M. D. (Beverly Hills/Los Angeles), Carrie Wambach, M. D. (Beverly Hills/Los Angeles and Bill Yee, M. D. (Redondo Beach and Orange County). In previous years they were joined by David Meldrum, M. D. (retired) and Arthur Wisot, M. D. (medical leave).
The selection process for Super Doctors is a rigorous multi-step process designed to identify physicians who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Doctors is a selective yet diverse listing of outstanding doctors, representing consumer-oriented medical specialties.
First, they create a pool of candidates. Each year Super Doctors invites physicians to nominate colleagues they know to be exceptional in their specified field. They evaluate candidates on 10 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.

The last step is to total the points received from nominations, research, and blue ribbon panel review. Only the highest-scoring doctors are included on the Super Doctors list. The Super Doctors list is approximately 5% of the physicians within the respective state or region.
