Dr Arthur L. Wisot, M.D.

Dr. Wisot completed his internship and residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. His interest in infertility began during his residency and led to additional specialized training in microsurgery, laser surgery and assisted reproductive techniques. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Wisot has had a longstanding interest in medical communication and serves as a regular media commentator on health issues. He served as a medical reporter at Channel 9 in Los Angeles and host and medical editor of “Physicians’ Journal Update” on Lifetime Medical Television. He has co-authored many scientific articles with Dr. David Meldrum. He also co-authored two books on fertility treatment with Dr. Meldrum, with whom he has practiced since 1986. Their latest book is “Conceptions & Misconceptions: The Informed Consumer’s Guide to In Vitro Fertilization and Other Assisted Reproduction Techniques.” As a clinical professor In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA, he is active in teaching residents and fellows in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Wisot is included in Los Angeles’ Super Doctors as published annually in Los Angeles Magazine.

He and his wife, Phyllis, have three sons, reside in Rolling Hills Estates and are active in rescuing dogs through the Southern California Pomeranian Rescue. Dr. Wisot is a tennis enthusiast.
