Ready to start IVF

Post by Mhugo »

I am ready to start the IVF process but am concerned about appointment times and possibly missing work. I start work before 7am in the morning and wondering if there are late afternoon appointments after 330. Also, how many days of work do people usually miss?

Afternoon appointments will not work because decisions have to be made based on ultrasound and blood test results. The day you need to take off the whole day would be the day of retrieval. Transfer and two days of house rest would also be needed to be off. After the rest of the appointments you can go to work late.

Look at it this way: it's practice for when you have a child who will require your attention for medical appointments and result in your missing work. ;)

7:30 for RB and 7 AM most of the time in BH.

And some may fall on weekends.
