I have a question about transferring frozen eggs. My wife, who is from Korea, and I got married in Korea. She has VHL and wants to have her eggs checked before getting pregnant to make sure the VHL disease is not in any of them. Anyway, she is going through the egg freezing process in Korea before she comes to the US, and will go through the IVF process in Korea too later. If the eggs are good, but she does not get pregnant, is there a way to bring her remaining frozen eggs to the US? Do you know what process we would have to go through? Or maybe someone to contact if there are any rules about bringing eggs from another country?
Thank you for your time!
Transferring frozen eggs from another country?
Re: Transferring frozen eggs from another country?
Hi:
I would suggest you contact U.S. Customs for rules on bringing frozen eggs to the U. S. and your center in Korea should be able to tell you that.
