Hey there,

I am 29, and undergoing IVF. Today I was told that my resting folicle count was 7. Everything I have read information wise has said that this is low for someone of my age, and abnormal. When I asked the nurse at my doctors office she would not give me a straight answer,when hosnetly I just wanted a yes or no.
So is this low for someone my age?

Yes but there is a lot of individual variation and some people just do not have a lot of early follicles but still may have good quality eggs. So this is more about ability to respond to stimulation. This information helps your doctor create a plan for your stimulation.
