IVF Success Rates
IVF Success Rates
Hello. Is the IVF success rate any greater for people who were good producers of eggs (active ovaries) or does it not matter because it really boils down to the grade and whether or not the embryo "sticks"? Also, is there a difference in success rates if the issue is MFI versus FFI? Thanks!
Re: IVF Success Rates
Hi:
Being able to produce a good number of eggs is a good prognostic factor. Of course egg quality is a major factor but those who produce well generally have better quality as well.
The issue of "sticking" really boils down mostly to embryo quality-less on uterus and endometrium factors if there are no obvious uterus issues like polyps or fibroids.
If the problem is male factor and can be overcome by ICSI that would result in a more favorable prognosis than female infertility factors.
