Home Pregnancy Test after FET
Home Pregnancy Test after FET
I am 5dp5dt of an FET. We did an eSET of 1 "fair" quality blastocyst with assisted hatching. I took an early result home pregnancy test and received a negative result. How likely is this result to be accurate? My beta is not scheduled until 11dp5dt. I know of Many women receive positive hpts by now. Should I assume this cycle was a bust or is there a more accurate date I should pick up a + hpt? Thanks in advance.
Re: Home Pregnancy Test after FET
This is precisely why we recommend not doing home tests before the blood test is scheduled. It's too early. They create more questions than answers as you just experienced. In fact I have had patients get discouraged and stop their hormones and disrupt a developing pregnancy.
Even if the ho,me test shows positive it could be a fleeting production or hormone and then it subsides so even a positive is not meaningful. The timing your doctor gave for a blood test that will give you a number will give a meaningful result.
