If estradiol is 110 pg/ml (higher than normal 25-75pg/ml) on cycle day 3, is the only reason due to ovarian cysts producing estrogen, or are there other possible reasons? Can you tell me what else may lead to an increased level of E2?

It is usually caused by a follicle which is more advanced on Day 3 than it should be.
When the E2 is elevated, the FSH level taken at the same time is not valid.
