My wife is 31, we are trying for baby since 5 years, even we tried for artificial insemination but no luck, Doctor suggested that she has a 4 cm fabiord in her uterus and she should remove it. It is a intramural one, does it really a obstruction in fertility ? Please suggest.

The effect of a fibroid on fertility depends on size and location.
Generally the larger ones and those pushing into the endometrium have the greatest negative effect.
Four cms and intramural usually would not. But I have not seen it myself so I really can't tell from here. But I would recommend a second opinion before having surgery.
