Hi Doctor,
Age: 39 (almost 40)
Diagnosed with moderate to severe Endo
My husband and I are currently evaluating 3 of the below options and would appreciate your perspective on what option you'd recommend. We are making a decision in the next few weeks and would kindly appreciate a reply at your earliest convenience.
Option 1: 3 months of Lupron Depot. Wait for normal cycle and then continue trying on our to get pregnant
Option 2: 3 months of Lupron Depot. Wait for normal cycle then start IVF cycle. Based on my research, speaking with other women whom have had Lupron + successful IVFs and the article in the link below my gut says to do this option.

Option 3: Skip Lupron Depot all together and move forward with IVF.
Thank you so much for the reply.
3-Month Lupron Prior to starting IVF or no Lupron

Hi:
Not knowing any of the clinical details I cannot say what is best for you and I really can't give advice here anyway.
I can tell you that European studies have shown that 6-8 weeks of pre-IVF treatment with birth control pills can restore endometriosis patients to the same success rates as their age-matched peers.
All of the options you have been offered are certainly reasonable ones.
Good luck.
