Multiple follicles

This is actually a question my husband had. While I was on clomid this cycle, there were two follicles. One was released at the time of the IUI, what happens to the other follicle that did not mature? Is it just reabsorbed by the body?

Hi:

Immature follicles may eventually release or may just regress and disappear. They will usually not cause any problem.
