When to trigger for a non medicated IUI?

Post by Bond007 »

Hi. I'm just wondering what would be the best time to trigger for a non medicated IUI cycle? My E2 is 600, LH is 7 and my one follicle is roughly about 17mm. Would your clinic be inclined to trigger with these stats, for IUI to occur 42hrs later? Many thanks

We generally do not trigger in a non-medicated cycle. If you do not release it in a timely manner it would be a reason to consider a medicated cycle.

Thank you for your reply. From my blood work and follicle size (above) do you think it would be likely to get a mature egg (taking into account that I haven't had any stimulation)? Thanks again.

The E2 is high for a mature single follicle; it usually averages in the 200-300 range. The 17 is a little small for mature; that's usually 18-20 in an unmedicated cycle. We usually do not measure E2 and LH in an unmedicated cycle except for an ovulation predictor kit.

So, who knows?
